Johannes Pertwee

 JOHANNES PERTWEE

Johannes Pertwee owns the largest farm in Heiligsheld.

He has both crops and livestock.
It sits down river from the village proper.

The farmhouse used to belong to the Wechsler family, however several years ago on a particularly foreboding Geheimnisnacht’s eve the farmhouse was attacked by some mutated ones who wore the skins of wolves.
As fate would have it, Johannes was staying with the family helping with the harvest in exchange for coin and lodging.

Johannes being a former soldier was lucky enough to survive the terrible ordeal.
Alas the 3 members of the Wechsler family were all killed in a terrible fire that consumed the barn in which they were hiding.

Johannes does not like to talk about that night much, he says he tried to flee and escape but the skinwalkers had damaged the cart and he was unable to escape.
He had no choice but to fight.

He lives there now with his wife and Uli the dwarf.

  1. Great stuff and a worthy Golden Gobbo ‘24 winner. Looking forwards to seeing Mrs Pertwee and the wee man at some point.

    1. Thank you!!

I am going to start on the farm itself soon, based on the Townscape one, but I will be making it more like farms from WFRP, so with outbuildings and a wall and what not.
It will be an ambitious model for my 3rd ever build, but I want to make it seem more 'real'.

I also need to source a figure for his wyf.

    2. Good idea. You’d need somewhere to offer some protection to your family and stock on the wilder fringes. Reminds me of an old walled farmhouse I visited in Styria years ago. One smallish gate leading into a central courtyard. Stables and rooms for tools and supplies on the ground floor with the people living upstairs. Windows on the second floor only. Designed to deter raiders rather than as a proper strongpoint.

    3. That sounds cool.
      Any photos of it?

    4. Sadly not. However, with a bit of searching I found the website for the Bauern Technik Museum. Lots of photos there and while the main building itself is not the focus, there are some that will give you a good impression. It’s larger than I remember it and there are ground floor windows, albeit small ones.
