Nudge Nudge Wink Wink Say No Morr

I am not sure what I have divulged on this blog about my setting of Heiligsheld vs what I have said on my website HERE.

However what I have been pondering and decided upon is this.

Taal is the main worshipped god of the area, there is a ruined church to Gadd not that far off in the forest, but Gadd has mostly been forgotten except by a few.

There is a cemetery but not a graveyard, a graveyard being distinguished as it is attached to a place of worship, a cemetery however is a standalone thing.
The villagers are buried in the cemetery, or Garden of Morr as it is known, but with there being no shrine to Morr in the village, just Taal, when people need to have the last rites spoken, the villagers send to Leicheberg for a priest of Morr who makes the journey to administer said rites.

So this means a few things in terms of what I am doing.

My Morrite Fleglers are not part of the village proper and will be used likely just once, they will be a group of cultists on a pilgrimage to somewhere and they will just happen to be around when the big final showdown comes.

I need a temple of Taal.

I am minded to combine it with a sort of tithe barn.
According to WFRP 1st edition, temples to Taal are often like this:

Roundy stone walled affairs but I am thinking maybe make it dual purpose, a shrine and a tithe barn, which are often like this:

But then of course, my buildings thus far have been based on the Townscape buildings, so maybe something like this:

I am undecided, if you have any examples of places of worship for Taal, or ideas please do let me know.

  1. What are you going to make it out of? I think making it duel purpose is probably the best idea.

    1. I am not sure on the material, that depends what I go for.
I am thinking a sort of round brick makes more sense, but I quite like the idea of a barn/shrine.

I suspect however I will end up doing some as yet unknown third option!!

      Thanks for the comment.
