Over on the Oldhammer Forum there is a competition sort of thing.

There was a poll about the theme, my idea of Market Day won, and everyone who enters paints up a model that fits the theme, the only real rule is to have some yellow on the model as this will sort of bind all the paintjobs together.

Once all the models are done, the names of those that submitted a model are placed in a bag (?) and one name is drawn out, that person wins all the models.

I spent far too long on my entry and I kind of want to keep it, but still.
What sort of oathbreaker would that make me...

    She looks great. It's a shame the small details don't show up the green dress and white apron turned out really nice.

      Yeah, sometimes I can capture the details, other times not so much.

      Maybe it is the heavens showing me not to use modern miniatures and to stick to 40 year old models?

Following on from the Sylvanian zombies of here . I have done the second of my three undead units, some archers. I am using the simple dark red and black scheme of dread Sylvania, as was hinted on the banner of the zombies. However where the zombies are just any old peasants risen from the dead, the skeleton archers are former soldiers and as such the remains of their uniforms can be seen. I was not sure if to stick with the darker dying grass and brown fern bases as in my mind the putridness of the zombies decaying bodies helped this theme make sense, where as the skeletons are just dry bones. So whilst the zombies clearly make worse the land upon which they walk (shamble) do the skeletons? I decided yes, they are dead and animated by foul magics so they have the taint of death and decay about them, plus also the army would look odd if the bases were not all the same. Michaels Mordheim Mashup - Update

Right, work begins on the notheim stuff. Each warband needs a leader and the more dramatic the better right? Seeing as I am sticking with Warhammer feels and not going down the Hammer Horror route I have these 2 as my warband leaders. The vampire Ingrid Karnstein and hunter of the undead Piotr Von Heiligsheld and his hound Kiszen. Nothing is finished yet, Ingrid is a WIP.

Warm Ale and Mud

I am going to try a blog. I do have a website that shows my Warm Ale and Mud stuff: https://angelbarracks.co.uk/ However it does not have a comments section so I thought maybe I would give here a go and see how it pans out. So what is this Warm Ale and Mud all about? I am playing Warhammer Fantasy Battle 3rd edition and I am building the village of Heiligsheld and its surrounds. It is a homebrew village/locale set in Stirland . Once I have enough of the places modelled, buildings, scenery and the people that live there, I will begin to tell stories about the village. These will be played out as games and then published here. We will learn how the village got its name, why it is not on any Imperial maps, how Fraulein Pfiezel came to have what appears to the skull of a beastman on her door, why Otto Klept spends most of his time in the pillory, and much more.
